Brunswick Middle School Community Service

Community Service

Opportunities Abound To Assist People In Need

The Middle School has a vibrant and fully engaged community service program. During an all-school community service day, students work with more than 28 sites in the area — including soup kitchens, pre-schools, and senior centers — and help to provide real solutions to common problems. Our 8th grade advisory groups visit individual sites every month, while the 5th – 7th grades adopt a community service site and send advisories out on a regular basis.

In addition, the Middle School has initiated a program offering opportunities for students to participate in local community service projects on seven Friday afternoons during the school year. Each student will thus have extended opportunities to serve the community, reaching out to the world beyond Brunswick.
