Lower School Admission Process

Step 1. Online Inquiry

SAOParents of prospective students should submit an Online Inquiry. An Admission Office staff member will contact you to set up an appointment to visit.

Step 2. Application

Brunswick uses the Standard Application Online (SAO). Click here to learn more about the SAO and begin your application.

The Student Profile and Parent Evaluation are due December 15. Supplemental materials (Recommendations, Student Evaluations, Grades, Test Scores, Transcripts, and Financial Aid Applications) are due January 15.

Step 3. Admission Open Houses

The Admission Open House is held on the King Street Campus on Sunday, November 3, consisting of student presentations, student-guided tours, and opportunities to meet teachers, administrators, and other members of the Brunswick community.

Brunswick School and Greenwich Academy will hold a Coordinate Upper School Open House for all prospective families on Sunday, October 27.

Attending these events are for informational purposes only and not a requirement for admission.

Step 4. Parent Visit

On completion of the online inquiry form, a parent visit will be scheduled. At this meeting, which typically lasts an hour, the admission staff will discuss the curriculum and the school’s philosophy, give a tour of the facilities, and answer any questions.

Step 5. Candidate Visit

Candidates for entry years are required to spend a portion of a day at Brunswick. It is an important time for candidates to gain a true feeling for the life and spirit of the school, and for the school to gain an understanding of the candidate. Lower School visits, which include classroom time, begin in September and end in early February.
