Student taking notes during class

Lower School Admission Process

Step 1. Online Inquiry

Parents of prospective students should submit an Online Inquiry. An Admission Office staff member will contact you to set up an appointment to visit.

Step 2. Application

Brunswick utilizes an in-house application, due December 15, the details of which are included in the official admission packet. All supporting materials (Recommendations, Grades, Test Scores, Transcripts, and Financial Aid Applications) are due January 15. We also accept the Standard Application Online (SAO) as a convenience.

Step 3. Recommendations & Transcripts

For all applicants, by January 15, Brunswick requires confidential recommendations and transcripts to be supplied directly by current schools, teachers, and/or other instructors. Parents must waive all rights to see these materials. For instructions on obtaining recommendations and transcripts, click here.

Step 4. Admission Open Houses

Admission Open Houses are in the fall. Participants hear presentations by Head of School Tom Philip, students and faculty, see imagery of our many facilities, and learn about the unique programming that sets Brunswick apart.

You may RSVP for any of these by clicking on “Admission Open House” in the sidebar.

Participating in these events is for informational purposes only and not a requirement for admission.

Step 5. Parent Visit

Upon your completion of the online inquiry form, we will call to schedule a parent/son visit. At this meeting, the admission staff will discuss the curriculum and the school’s philosophy, give a tour of the facilities, and answer any questions.
