Tuition & Financial Aid

Affording a Brunswick Education

LIFE PURSUED

Brunswick’s tuition includes a student’s academic courses, the majority of his athletic commitments, his meals, and other activities offered to all students or to an entire grade. Separate charges are made for field trips and optional activities, when the school incurs additional expenses. In addition, Upper and Middle School students are expected to purchase textbooks and instructional materials.

Tuition obligations are incurred for the full year and are billed in two installments, payable in May and December. Brunswick offers tuition financing, loan programs, monthly payment plans, and tuition insurance plans.

Financial Aid Resources

Do I qualify?

Because each family’s situation is different, we encourage all parents who might need aid to apply. In addition to tuition assistance, some families are also eligible for aid that supports expenses not covered by tuition, but are considered to be an important part of the Brunswick School experience.

If our tax forms are not complete, may we still apply for financial aid?

Yes. Please email David Bruce, Director of Financial Aid, to request an extension.

Is the application for financial aid different for parents who are separated or divorced?

Yes, parents who are divorced or separated must each apply for financial aid. The Financial Aid Committee considers financial resources from all parents/guardians (including non-custodial and step-parents).

Do I have to pay back my financial aid award? Is my award a loan?

No. Financial aid packages from Brunswick are exclusively grants. The school does not expect families to pay back any portions of their financial aid grants.

Does Brunswick provide merit financial aid awards in addition to need-based awards?

No. Aid at Brunswick School is exclusively need-based. Brunswick does not provide athletic, academic, or any other merit-based scholarships.

Do returning students need to reapply each year?

Yes, since financial situations can change each year, we ask that you reapply each fall. The deadline is December 15 for returning Brunswick families.

Aid is distributed as need-based. The school does not provide athletic, academic, or any other merit-based scholarships. Financial aid packages are exclusively grants. The school does not expect families to pay back any portions of their financial aid grants.

In addition to tuition assistance, some families are also eligible for aid that supports expenses not covered by tuition, but are considered to be an important part of the Brunswick School experience.

How Tuition is Billed

The Deposit

Upon accepting enrollment at Brunswick School, you will be asked to sign an enrollment agreement and make a deposit calculated at 15% of the annual tuition, net of any financial aid award. This secures your son’s enrollment on campus.

Payment Plans

To assist with spreading the remainder of your son’s tuition amount over the year, we offer the following two payment plans:

  • Four-month plan: equal payments due May, July, September, November
  • 10-month plan: equal payments due each month, May-February

Tuition Due Dates

When not opting for a payment plan, payment is paid in two installments:

  • June 1: 50% of the annual tuition, net of any financial aid award
  • January 1: 35% of the annual tuition, net of any financial aid award

Loans

Your Tuition Solution, yourtuitionsolution.com/family, offers long term loans, which may be a suitable option to help make your son’s education costs more affordable.

Brunswick School uses Clarity Financial Aid to help assess the demonstrated financial need of our families. Clarity‘s streamlined, mobile-friendly option takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
