Spanish Language: An Early Start
The programs and philosophies in the Pre and Lower Schools stress developing listening skills and cultural awareness at a young age. Students are introduced to the Spanish language through a thematic curriculum, enhancing concepts and content in language arts, mathematics, social studies, science as well as through art and music. The program is tailored to focus on topics that are of high interest to our boys, thereby creating a natural incentive for them to be eager to understand the language, to be enthusiastic about participating, and above all, to light the spark of intellectual curiosity in each student.
Gordon Korman, the prolific author of children’s books and young-adult fiction, visited with Lower and Middle School students in late October, offering a lively recap of a creative, bountiful career spanning almost 47 years.
