The Writing Center provides writing support for all Upper School students. Through one-on-one consultations, group workshops, and faculty-conducted seminars, students are taught strategies to help them improve at all stages of the writing process.
Whether a student needs guidance with an assigned essay, advice on a revision, or even feedback on a creative project done outside of school, the Writing Center offers him an opportunity to engage in a conversation about his writing and to become a better editor of his own work.
Each year, the English Department recommends outstanding students from the junior and senior classes to apply for “Writing Advisor” positions in The Writing Center. Those interested are required to submit an application and a writing sample. The most qualified candidates become year-long consultants in the Writing Center.
