An Inquiry-Based Approach

The goal of the science program is to engage students with exciting content while developing habits of mind essential to scientific thinking and problem solving.

Students practice critical skills such as observing, identifying patterns, predicting, inferring, and drawing conclusions. They record information, raise questions, plan investigations, and revise ideas using the engineering design process. A treasured component of the program includes field learning, with local field trips and visits to our own on-campus outdoor classroom spaces.

Through an inquiry-based approach, boys explore life, earth, and physical sciences. They learn the scientific method, ask questions, and think critically. By fostering their natural curiosity, the program encourages each boy to wonder about the world around him.
