Students following art direction from teacher

Visual Arts

The Pre and Lower School art program aims to develop skills and build confidence when working in a creative medium. As an introduction to the Visual Arts, boys learn to draw and paint through sequentially developed lessons based upon their abilities. Emphasis is placed on creative risk-taking. All of the boys participate in an art appreciation program and an art exhibit, and numerous art projects are mounted and displayed throughout the year.

Students also have the option to practice public speaking and acting skills through annual drama presentations. Students participate in class presentations that include anything from the simple reading of a script to more elaborate, memorized productions of plays and musicals.
