Technology Enhances Learning & Self-Expression

The two fundamental goals of the Lower School technology program are to help boys learn to think critically and work collaboratively. Technology is one vehicle to accomplish these goals, with lessons and experiences that build essential tech skills. Success means boys are well positioned to meet the growing curricular demands of computer science in Middle and Upper School.

Curricular components include coding, word processing, email, digital citizenship (including responsible Internet use), multimedia presentation skills, online research, and keyboarding. Devices such as laptop computers are used intentionally across all grades. After-school clubs that support these priorities include LEGO Robotics, Drone Club, Stop Motion Animation, and Shop Class. Risk-taking and mistake-making are central to our program. Boys who think logically and communicate well thrive in our state-of-the-art Idea Lab and beyond it.
