Instrumental

Creativity Meets Collaboration

Our instrumental music program offers exciting opportunities for both experienced and aspiring musicians. Students may choose from small combos — where improvisation and composition are encouraged — to large performing ensembles that stage three major concerts each year in partnership with Greenwich Academy.

The Blue Notes is our premiere instrumental ensemble. Members learn a variety of jazz and popular genres including swing, funk, soul, R&B, and rock, and frequently perform at school and community events.

All instrumental music offerings are open to students from both campuses and meet as regular academic courses. Many graduates continue playing in college or for personal enjoyment. Instrumental music remains an important and enriching part of our students’ academic day.
