A Broader Understanding of the World

The Upper School science program follows a traditional, lab-based sequence of biology, chemistry, and physics, offered in both regular and honors tracks. These courses build strong foundations in content knowledge and scientific inquiry, as students design and conduct experiments, evaluate evidence, and communicate findings through written and oral reports.

To support individual interests, the department offers numerous AP courses and electives that emphasize problem-solving, hands-on applications, and student-led research.

Graduates of the program gain a broader understanding of the natural world and the ability to engage with scientific content inquisitively.
