Upper School Arts

Creativity. Depth. Ambition.

LIFE EXPRESSED

The arts are an essential part of the Brunswick curriculum, aimed at providing every student with a foundation in artistic literacy. In the Upper School, students refine their talents through a highly individualized program, with options to specialize in visual arts (including computer graphics), instrumental music, vocal music, and theater.

Beyond the classroom, students may participate in a variety of ensembles, theatre groups, performances, and arts clubs. Coordination with Greenwich Academy is a strong component of Brunswick’s arts program: all performing arts productions, extracurricular drama programs, and art and music classes are coed, expanding opportunities for collaboration.

When that milestone day arrives, after 26 years of his steady and extraordinary leadership, Tom will be the longest tenured Head of School other than Brunswick’s founder.
